Weinman created a new design for the United States Mint that would go on to feature on the US half dollar. This portrait of Liberty became known as Walking Liberty and was partnered with Weinman's depiction of an American bald eagle. The Walking Liberty Half Dollar was issued by the United States Mint for a total of 31 years, with its final issue coming in 1947. The design was so popular that just under 40 years later, the US Mint revived it for the American Silver Eagle bullion coin series. Queen Elizabeth II is on the obverse of 2022 BVI Silver 75th Anniversary of the Last Walking Liberty Coins. This portrait of the Queen is a right-profile relief that depicts Her Majesty wearing the George IV State Diadem Crown. For the reverse design, both of Weinman's original images come to life on the 2022 1 oz Silver 75th Anniversary of the Last Walking Liberty Coin. His left-profile relief of Liberty walking with the American flag draped around her figure is on the right. To the left side of the coin, the American eagle is perched on a small sapling with raised wings. These 2022 1 oz British Virgin Islands 75th Anniversary of the Last Walking Liberty Coins are available individually or in bulk packaging. Individual coins are in protective flips, while multiples of 20 are in plastic tubes. Each coin is reverse frosted, indicating the coins have mirror-like images on frosted, matte fields.
