1940 WALKING LIBERTY HALF DOLLAR NGC PROOF 65 UNBLEMISHED BEAUTIFUL SILVER LUSTER OVER BOTH SIDES. A mintage of just 11,279 was apparently enough to satisfy the collector demand at the time.

At NGC, the populations are 691 in MS 65 and 1474 better. At PCGS, 2781 in MS 65 or better are reported. A very nice example of the Proof version of this iconic design.
