8 oz each Walking Liberty. The Washington Mint, a private, non-government company, in 1986 started minting beautiful 8 Troy ounce Walking Liberty proof coins (rounds). Each coin has the year of issue with a serial number imprinted on it's edge, is plastic encapsulated, and a COA accompanies it. Then in 1995, after issuing the 10th yearly coin, 10 coin sets were assembled in a nice solid wood box. This is a complete authentic 10 encapsulated coin set, with all documentation, in the original box.
None of the coins have ever been touched by human hands. The mirror proof finish is exceptional and each coin clearly states: One Half Pound. 999 Silver, is 3.5 inches in diameter.
NOTE: The 10th year coin, 1995, is 24 Kt Gold Plate over. This is the only set ever issued as the U.Government shut the company down before another 10 years could be issued.
